Rappahannock Library Board members expressed their regret over the imminent loss of Roberta Anderson, president from the board, at last month’s meeting.
Anderson’s eight-year term expires this month and it was her last meeting with the board. Jim Gannon of Castleton will fill the spot vacated by Anderson.
“The library is in good shape, we have a good director, a good board and it’s a good time for me to walk away,” Anderson said, addressing the board. “If at the end of a year the board should want me to come back I could do so then. I thank you all for your support and cooperation.”
There was some comment about perhaps amending the bylaws to lengthen term limits. “I am in complete agreement with the bylaws,” Anderson said. “We need to have term limits. When I realized my term was about up I spent some time looking at the bylaws and
