Christmas bazaar planned
The Child Care and Learning Center will be having its annual bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Washington School on Mt. Salem Avenue. There will be 17 different crafters selling their wares, a huge bake sale, a children’s shopping room where everything is $1, a lunch room, pictures with Santa from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a silent auction, and a raffle for a quilt and dinner for two at The Inn.
Santa in Viewtown
Santa Claus will be visiting Viewtown General Store Friday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. Amissville Fire Department will be bringing him! Come visit with Santa and enjoy cookies and punch with your friends. For more information call 937-3249.
Benefit banquet planned
The Washington Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Christmas Banquet for the community on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 6-9 p.m. at the Washington Fire Hall. The menu include appetizers, salad, soup, comish game hen, green beans, glazed carrots, rolls, dessert, wine, soft drinks, coffee and tea. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children. Save $1 each ticket by calling 675-3615 for advance tickets.
Poinsettia sale underway
Beautiful, florist quality poinsettias are for sale to benefit the new garden at Trinity Church. Red, pink, or white, two, three and four branches. Prices range from $15 to $40. Order early for the best selection by calling the Trinity Church office at 675-3716. Pick-up and payment at the Town Hall on Friday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
