No. 23b: Old Hollow Road bridge over Thornton River. This is a school bus route affected by flooding. When bridge is • impassable, the only other way! into/out of hollow is extremely' long. Bridge has engineering safety rating of60.40 out of possible 100 and continues to deteriorate. VDOT looking to completely rebuild with a precast; concrete deck and beams. Seethrough handrails will help keep rustic appearance.
