“Mail early” is the word from Rappahannock County Post Offices. This 1997 holiday season, U.S. Postal Services customers will bring more than 19 billion cards, letters and packages to post offices during the holiday season starting after Thanksgiving. Employees are gearing up for the busiest time of the year.
They are asking customers to keep it coming, but start early so they can make sure everything is delivered on time.
Customers can help by providing window clerks with full information on packages, such as requirements for insurance, delivery confirmation, desired time for package arrival and other pertinent information.
To help their customers, the Postal Service suggests the following mailing tips:
• Write, type or print the complete delivery address neatly.
• Always use a return address.
