Christmas is a time of giving, not receiving, and that’s exactly what we all did — helped make Christmas something special for so many that otherwise couldn’t have enjoyed it, especially the elderly and the children. That’s where I came in.
Many of you know me. I’m a big man and probably could have made a good Santa but, unfortunately, I didn’t have a Santa suit. We all know there is only one real Santa — and Santa suit. He was wearing that one so I had to do without. I had no sled or reindeer, not even Rudolph. So, I settled for my old pickup truck, with headlights, as my sled and reindeer.
The truck was loaded up time and time again and I delivered bags and boxes of toys to children and hams to the elderly in need. For the rest of my life I will never forget how those children made me feel and the expressions
