We had to do some running around to get enough jars and all but one were located in businesses in Rappahannock County. This tragic accident woke me up and showed me how wonderful people can be, how they reached into their pockets to help Buster. He and his family send many, many thanks to all who visited, sent cards or flowers, gave generously and showed so much support and kindness.
I also want to give Bob Bracewell of Amissville a special thank you for his computer help in making copies for the fund drive jars.
As I close, I thank that little boy who came into Lombardy’s and asked his mom what the jar said. His mom read it to him and he reached in his pocket, pulled out some change and said, “Here sir, please put this in that jar.”
