“I still can’t believe I live here,” said Vandy Solomon. She and her husband, Micah opened Oasis Duplication in Flint Hill in October where they manufacture CDs, tape cassettes and CD-ROMs. They decided on the county and village because they “love the community. “

The Solomons bought Francis Bradford’s turn-ofthe-century house in Flint Hill last March and spent six months having Greg Foster adapt it for their business. “From the minute we walked in we fell in love with the rambling house,” they said. They had the floors refinished, made the building handicap accessible i by putting in ramps, a new bathroom and main doorway, added a parking area in the rear, took out shrubbery, widened the driveway and painted the interior.

The Solomons said they are pleased that Flint Hill is becoming a high tech corridor with Blue Ridge Technologies just across the road. “We found great people to work here,” Solomon said.
