Valentine 9s dance planned
There will be a Valentine’s dance, sponsored by the Culpeper Swine 4-H Club on Friday, Feb. 13 at the Culpeper Middle School from 7 to 11 p.m. This dance is for 4-H’ers, ages 9 to 19 and alumni from Culpeper, Madison and Rappahannock counties. Tickets are available from David Massie or at the Rappahannock Extension Office. The cost is $3 for singles and $5 for couples.
Support Group to meet
The Blueridge Brain Injury Support Group will meet Saturday, Feb. 14 from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Parish Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church on the comer of Gay and Middle Streets in Washington. All survivors, family and friends are welcome to this meeting. For directions, information, transportation or support call Pat Salmon at 675-3137.
Membership meeting set
The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League will be holding it’s annual membership meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock Library. All are welcome.
Swing dance scheduled
A family swing dance party will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13 at the Marshall Community Center. The charge is $5 per person. Children are welcome, soft soled shoes are required, no heels please. For information call 675-3444 or 364-1800.
Second annual Transition fair set
Do you know someone with special needs? Could they benefit from information on financial planning, employment assistance, housing, college support, adult education, counseling, and/or parent support? If so, they should plan to attend the Transition Fair at Fauquier High School on March 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. Encouraged to attend are students and graduates with disabilities, parents, school personnel, and anyone interested in the services available for individuals with disabilities.
