that capital punishment is the “final solution.”

The finality of death makes it certain that, if we have not already done so in our eager resumption of executions, we will apply the ultimate punishment to more than one innocent person. And, as irrefutable statistics already show, we continue to apply the death penalty inequitably; the poor, minorities, and those citizens of cultures that are not understood by “us” (the law-abiding citizens), consistently receive death sentences in higher percentages than do those of us who have “chosen” middle or upper class Caucasian parents.

Finally, in the occasional event that criminals iuch as Karla Tucker truly find peace in God, or accept the responsibility for their actions in other ways, then they can perform great service to our society if they are allowed to live. Although Ms. Tucker should have remained in prison for her entire life, she could have helped other criminals who will be released eventually to better understand what they need to do when they are back
