A strong supporter Sir advocacy groups, Rafala said he is involved in many national organizations that promote counseling and advocate the profession. He is a member hf the American Mental Health Counselors Association and the American Counselors Association, the Virginia Counselors Association, and is on the board of directors of the Virginia Association of Clinical Counselors.
Rafala conducts individual and family counseling by appointment. He has worked extensively with a variety of mental health problems, including mood disorders, substance abuse, sexual abuse, marital problems and family problems.
