Pearl Hitt

Born in Hume

Mrs. Dorothy Pearl McDonald Hitt, 89, of Culpeper, died Feb. 9 at her residence.

Mrs. Hitt was bom Jan. 27, 1909 in Hume, to the late Lewis and Sally McDonald.

Mrs. Hitt is survived by three sons Lewis F. Hitt of Clearbrook, Buster T. Hitt of Woodville and Lee Hitt of Culpeper and three daughters Gertrude H. Kelley of Amissville, Elizabeth H. Jenkins of Culpeper and Betty Ann Butler of Clearbrook.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hitt was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Campbell Hitt; one grandson Floyd William Jenkins and two son-in-laws William Butler and Charles Kelley.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 11 at Found and Sons Chapel with the Rev. Robert J. Donnely officiating.

Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.

Found and Sons Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
