To celebrate the grand opening of the Old Sperryville Bookshop at 44 Main Street in Sperryville, Jim and Joan Gannon will host two special events this Saturday.

Former “Dukes of Hazard” television star and retired politician Ben Jones generously offered to bring his props and read some Dr. Seuss and other favorites to young readers at 11 a.m. At 1 p.m., local artist and musician Ned Bittinger kindly volunteered to play his Celtic harp.
