an intellectual ambiance to the town. He envisions the bookstore as a meeting place to introduce authors, listen to local musicians, hold Civil War roundtable discussions and hear speakers on special topics. Some local artists have suggested the bookstore would be a good place to display artwork.
Local people helped the Gannons select a mix of good reading in fiction, biography, inspirational reading and especially topics of local history and travel. Some are ones that would most likely never be found at book superstores and a variety of unusual books on cooking and gardening specifically cater to local interests. Books are available in a choice of paperbacks and hardcovers and the store will also carry a limited quantity of “gently” used books at considerable savings.
