Exercise your right, vote this November
Election day is Nov. 3 — that’s only three weeks away. There are issues of importance to this county to be decided and those deciding will be those who vote. The meals tax referendum will move forward or be voted down. A yes vote could help reduce the real estate tax rate. Wakefield District supervisor Roger Welch, appointed to the board when former board chair Hubert Gilkey resigned, is running against Dr. Werner Krebser, local physician and member of the county planning commission, for that district’s seat on the board of supervisors. If you’re at all interested in national politics, newcomer Cornell Brooks is taking on Frank Wolf for the 10th District Congressional seat. ' The important thing to remember? Vote!
