Luke was bom in Brooklyn and her father was a syndicated cartoonist of the comicstrip “Washtubs,” which later called “Captain Easy.” She was raised with a strong interest and background in art and attended Rollins College, Southern Methodist University, American University and Rensselaer .Polytechnic Institute.
An accomplished painter, she has exhibited and taught in the Washington, D.C. area, as well as locally.
