The youth of the Washington Baptist Church will be having a candle and bake sale on Saturday, Oct. 17 in front of the Washington Post Office.
Book Fair planned at RCES
Rappahannock County Elementary School Library will host a Scholastic Book Fair from Tuesday, Oct. 20 through Wednesday, Oct. 28. The fair will be open from 8:15 a.m. until 4 p.m. on school days with additional hours on Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. during the parent conferences. Call Aney Massie at 987-8259.
Resolution to honor Mr Fletcher
The Rappahannock County Bar Association on Friday, Oct. 23 at 4:30 p.m. will present a Memorial Resolution in honor of the late James W. Fletcher, who died on March 10, 1998, to the Judge or Judges of the Circuit Court of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit of Virginia convened in Special Session at the Rappahannock County Courthouse in Washington. Interested individuals are invited to attend.
Benefit bake sale set

Exhibition at Linden Vineyards
Sara Schneidman’s original paintings and prints are on view and for sale through the holidays at the Linden Vineyards. Dance scheduled at Amissville
A dance will be held at the Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue building on Saturday, Oct. 24 with music by River Bottom. This will be a smoke free dance and proper dress is required which means no shorts, no jeans with holes and shirts must have collars.
