Fairfax and worked at Hensley’s Warrenton beauty shop 15 years ago. She quit when her son was born. Now, Justin, 14, and Zebulon, 9 years-old, will be back in school this fall and she plans on resuming work full-time as a beautician. She lives in Marshall with her husband, Buzzy Ashby, and sons.
Hensley is celebrating her fourth anniversary at. the shop on Lee Highway. The shop offers a variety of hair and beauty treatments for men and women.
The beauticians try to meet the needs of the community by making themselves available for weddings and special occasions and making home and hospital visits if clients are unable to come into the shop.
Plans for the future include opening the upstairs as a spa to include manicures, waxing and tanning beds.
Brenda’s Hair Care Cabin is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday 9 j/m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 987-3329 for an appointment.
