Republican Congress has been one of the worst in memory. Congressional Republicans wasted so much time quarreling among themselves and playing their hypocritical games that they were unable to accomplish the important work they were sent to accomplish. Major issues they didn’t deal with included the future of Social Security and Medicare, the banning of softmoney campaign contributions, and enacting a tobacco settlement. As for preserving the environment, they added one anti-environment rider after another to appropriations bills. Indeed, our Republican representative, Frank Wolf, voted anti-environment 76 percent of the time! (League of Conservation Voters)
What can we do to improve the next Congressional session? Well, what a wonderful combination of qualities we can find in the dynamic and thoughtful man who is the Democratic candidate from our 10th District.
