Oct. 24 at about 2:50 p.m. at a residence on Route 617 in Castleton. The residence is listed for sale and the realtor called the sheriff’s office after noticing a window was broken. The sheriff’s office found several windows broken and rocks inside the house near the windows.
The other case, a burglary occurred at Mount Salem Church on Route 626. Someone kicked in the door, went into the balcony area, threw chairs from the balcony down into the church and lit a fire on the floor in the church (the remains of which were there). The incident is under investigation.
