Troilo,” Coppage recalled. “The other driver’s insurance company made me a fair offer to settle. They realized this was not just a $2,500 car.”
Part of the settlement was that Coppage got to keep the wrecked car.
“I took the money and I bought another "71 Nova, this one a true SS model,” he continued. “I put the big block from the wrecked car, and kept it for a while.”
But like most enthusiasts, the time came to move on. “It teed me off one day, so I sold it,” Coppage explained.
Other Chevrolets Coppage has owned include a ‘67 Chevy II powered by a 400 small block, and a pro-street ‘84 Z28, which he traded for a ‘67 \Camaro RS.
