Don’t get a car nut talking. You might be there all day, listening to explanations about torque and gear ratios and other esoteric subjects. Fauquier resident Stu Roberson is a car nut.
“I don’t know why it’s [the love of cars] in your blood,” Roberson explained. “I just know that I have a little motor oil in my blood . . . make that a lot of motor oil in my blood.”
Roberson began driving his dad’s old jeep through the fields when he was in the third grade and bought his first car when he was 15. It was a 1948 Austin sedan, and it cost $100. .
