They told us it was walking the fence row from our house to their house. I assumed at that point, it was trying to find a place to cross and head for the mountains.
We waited until it was at the far end of the fence, and then went to the car and drove to the neighbor’s house.
We heard it roar one more time — perhaps to say thank you for moving your car — and then we did not hear it again.
The direct route
We determined that we were blocking its way up our driveway, a direct route to the mountains. When we thought it safe enough we went home.
