The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary is pleased to announce they will host a swap/trade/and/or sell event on March 27 at the Rescue Squad Building on Main Street in Sperryville. The community is encouraged to support this endeavor.

Sympathy is expressed to Lorraine Sisk on the death of her sister, Louise Virginia Richards of Luray. She was married to Rev. C. Wayne Richards, who is pastor of Black Oak Regular Baptist Church in Culpeper, however, Rev. Richards has preached at several churches in the Rappahannock area.

The Sperryville United Methodist Church will have worship service at 11:15 a.m. on March 14. Rev. Merlin Shorb invites the community.

The Sperryville Historic Committee has plaques for properties in the Historic District. There are a total of 78 properties included in the Historic District. Anyone who would like a plaque should contact Barbara Williams at 987-8384.

Reynolds Memorial Baptist and Sperryville Methodist are participating in the annual Lent services held each Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Church. A fellowship pot-luck dinner will be held at 6:15 p.m.; the Lenten service begins at 7 and ends at approximately 8 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
