In November, 1986, Harry Voyd Brown, of Syria, was convicted of the shotgun murder of Aurelious W. Timmons, 54, which occurred on June 7, 1986.
Timmons was shot on the front porch of his home on Rt. 231, 2.2 miles north of the Rappahannock-Madison county line.
