On Oct. 27, the Virginia Outdoors Foundation recorded an open space easement gift from Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Lapham that boosts easement protection in Rappahannock to 8613 acres, more than six percent of private land in the county. The Lapham easement covers 633 acres east of Flint Hill, between Route 647 and the Jordan River, permanently limiting future division to no more than four parcels.
