Robert Phillips of Woodbridge was riding a ‘93 Yamaha motorcycle on Route 643, three-tenths of a mile east of Route 637, on Sunday, Oct. 31 at 2:15 p.m. The vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, according to a state police spokesperson, swerved off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment. The driver was transported to the Fauquier emergency room, but only sustained minor injuries. The damage to the vehicle is estimated at $800.
