Paul Reisler, residency musician and songwriter, is well known to Rappahannock audiences for his work with the group he co-founded, Trapezoid, as well as the songwriting camps he organizes here in Rappahannock twice yearly that draw individuals from across the country.
Paul has produced and recorded eight albums with Trapezoid, a duo album of original instrumentals, Peace of Wild Things with Bob Read of the Bruce Hornsby Band, and more than two dozen other albums with nationally known artists. He also composes for television, film and theatre. .Currently, he’s composing a children’s symphony with Ibm Paxton and an album of songs with poet/songwriter Charles John Quarto.
Sharon Wyrrick, residency dance, theatre and multi-discipline performance artist is a Rappahannock resident known for her art works that bring together dance, theatre and visual elements. “Making Waves” is her fourth residency in Rappahannock Schools, her most recent “The Many Faces of Poetry Project,” focused at the high school on poetry writing, bringing in visiting poets, the production of a special issue of The Corinthian poetry anthology that incorporated student art work as well as poetry, and the production of The Poetry Circus.
Sharon has toured her original work nationally and internationally as a solo performer and with her company Full Circle. She is the 1999 recipient of the Washington Performing Arts Society Pola Nirenska Award for Contribution _
