piece of pine and some acorns.
This is Mrs Bird’s review on Jan 16.
Returning today to “Works in Progress” I found several important changes that make this show increasingly interesting. Nina Moore, gallery sitting, was making paper outside, giving me my first opportunity to see her in action. Within the gallery, Gary Colson’s sculptures are substantially altered, his top heavy, uncut stone has been reversed and a severe face is beginning to emerge from the gray jasper. This image is strangely reminiscent of a familiar, but so far unidentified, person in my past, and a couple of wedge-shaped hacks have been made into a comer of one of the soapstones of the other group.
