• Parent-Teacher Conferences at RCES and RCHS are scheduled fon Thursday, Jan. 27. Please try to attend to chat with your child’s teachers about his/her progress. Taking the time to get to know our teachers and to understand your child’s classroom routine will help you to assist your child more effectively at home. We look forward to seeing you on the 27.
• The RCES PTO will once again sponsor a Dinner for RCPS Teachers on Conference; Night. If you receive a request to help, please consider doing so. It is difficult for the teach-' era to leave the schools to qat elsewhere and return in time for the second session of conferences. Our staff members are always extremely appreciative of this kindness shown to them. Thank you for assist-, ing in any way that you can.
• For the second year in a row a RCES student has won the WVPT Public Television Young Environmentalist Award. Students from throughout the WVPT viewing" area compete and we are proud to announce that fourth grader Molly McCarthy won this year. Molly’s teachers are Ms. Amy Saxton and Mrs. Amy Gubler. Last year’s winner was Ben Rupchis. Ben is a, sixth grader this year. We will print more information as it becomes available.
• Thanks to the RCES PTO Playground Committee, chaired by Mrs. Shannon Swain, new swing sets have been installed on the hill next, to the soccer fields at RCES. Please consider joining your PTO, so that we can continue to support these kinds of projects for our students.
