The next RCES PTO din-< ner meeting will be on Friday, Jan. 21. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m., the meeting will start at 7. Bring your children, your spouse and a covered dish to share and join us as we discuss ways to make our schools better for all of our children.
• Don’t forget the Music Boosters meeting in the Band Module at RCES on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m. There are many exciting things in the works, and we look forward to having more of you music lovers involved.
• The Kick-Off Event for the new Track and Field Committee chaired by community members Mrs. Brooke Fletcher and Ms. Mary Mochary took place last Friday night at RCES. We hear through student representative, Jami Gillis, that a lot of enthusiasm for the project was generated and more opportunities for you to help will follow. Please stay tuned.
• The goal of this committee is to build a “regulation” Track and Soccer field at RCHS. This is something that has been sorely needed for many years, and this committee is hoping to make it a reality. If you believe that this is something you would like to support, please call Mrs. Mary Anne Biggs, Assistant Superintendent, at 987-877$ or Mrs. Brooke Fletcher at 987-8111.
• As you can see there is always something new arid exciting happening in the Rappahannock County Public Schools. We are proud of oufr students and teachers, and cf all the wonderful things thgt they accomplish throughout the year. If you’d like to be la part of something positive, please consider volunteering.
