The Boys Basketball Teams were in action on Tuesday against Manassas Park. This was the first home game since the holiday break.

The J.V. squad came out fired up. They pushed the ball up the court and scored, with great passing from Jamie Keys and Tony Starks. At the half, Rapp was up 32-20.

In the second half, Kerry Grigsby and I Jamie Keys took control of the game. Kerry finished with a game high 26 points and eight rebounds, and Jamie finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Coach Luther Stanley thought it was a great team effort. He said, “The game plan going into the game was to work the ball inside”, “The kids executed this very well.” The Panthers won the game 57-50.

The Varsity game started off a little slower, at the end of the first quarter Rapp was up 6-4. The game see-sawed back and forth in the second, Irvin Phillips and Daniel Settle hit some key shots to get Rapp the lead at the half 23-17.
