During inclement weather conditions, operates and maintains light and medium duty highway equipment, such as single axle dump trucks, front-end loaders, and tractors; clears snow and ice from roadways; and applies abrasives and chemicats on road surfaces. Must be skilled in operating light and medium duty highway equipment during inclement weather conditions and performing preventive maintenance on equipment and be able to perform physically demanding labor. Commercial Driver's License (CDL), physical examination and safety shoes are required. Selected candidates subject to a pre-employment drug test and DMV driving record review. NOTE: These positions are available from October 1, 1999 to March 31, 2000 with no state benefits.
