The local board of Tax Assessors, chaired by Robert P. Anderson of Woodville reported Wednesday that the reappraisal of real estate in Rappahannock will be completed soon. Included in the notice will be the assessed value of the property, which is based on 15 percent of the fair market value as determined by a state appraiser. The former assessed value was 20 percent of the fair market value. A report from the Sperryville Rescue Squad for the 1974 calendar year included the following information: A total of 106 calls were answered and a total of 7000 miles traveled in response to these calls. Of these, 76 were sick calls and 30 accidents. Navy Airman Recruit John P. Dodson, son of Mrs. Mae A. Dodson of Flint Hill, graduated from recruit training at the Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, 111. He is scheduled to report to Gunnar’s “A” School, Great Lakes. The training included instruction in seamanship, military regulations, fire fighting, close order drill, first aid and Navy history.
