Legos, various mechanical and electromechanical devices and imagination, the team designed and constructed an automated production line system to fill and cap containers with popcorn kernels. The mission of the Virginia TSA (Technology Students Association) is “to prepare our membership for the challenges of a dynamic world by promoting technological literacy, leadership, and problem solving, resulting in personal growth and opportunities,” and these three have obviously fulfilled mission objectives. Next up is a national competition in Atlanta this summer.
Student’s report
Jami Gillis (the reigning Prom Queen!) provided her report to the board. She noted that students are getting ready for the AP and SOL exams, and that there is “more motivation for the SOL’s”-those who pass them do not have to take final exams. She also reported on last night’s win for the boy’s soccer team, and a trig competition win by Colin Treanor. Jami also said that the senior trip will take place in 13 days, and that 17 students will be inducted Thursday into the National Honor
