The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board is soliciting bids for Phase III renovations of the building formerly known as C&l Building located on 15631 Bradford Road, Culpeper, Virginia into the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board Administration Building Sealed bids will be received May 31, 2000 at Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board, Attention: Brian Duncan, Executive Director, 15361 Bradford Road, P.O. Box 1568, Culpeper, Virginia 22701 until 3:30 P.M., at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud
A Bid Bond, cash, letter of credit from a bank or lending institution, or certified check in the amount of 5% of the Bid shall be submitted with the Bid.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any formalities, and to award the contract to the best interest of the Owner. Telephonic, telegraphic and telecopy bids will not be accepted Bid forms enclosed in specifications must be used All bids must be submitted no later than the indicated time A pre-bid conference will be held on May 22, 2000 at 10:00 a m at the current Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board office, address below
Plans and Specifications will be available on May 15, 2000 at Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board. Brian Duncan, Executive Director, 15361 Bradford Road, P.O. A refundable $25.00 per set deposit will be required
Bids will be binding for a period of sixty (60) calendar days following the date on which bids are opened. In accordance with Section 11-53 of the Virginia Procurement Act, if the bid from the lowest responsive responsible bidder exceeds available funds, the Owner may negotiate with the apparent low bidder to obtain a contract price within available funds. Bids must comply with the laws of the State of Virginia and conditions of the Contract Documents and must be made on the form provided in the Project Manual, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder, his license or his contractor number, identification of the Contract being bid, and marked:
