Luke Zindel, one of the carpenters on the project and the son of the builder, Butch Zindel then recited the last stanza:
“With pride I raise my glass and propose a toast to all my carpenters, to the historical society, the community and to this structure. When I smash my glass to the ground, the dedication is complete! Let the “Richtfest” celebration begin.”
Following the ceremony, the group attended a champagne reception in the offices of Butch Zindel across the street from the historical society. The architect of the project is Jay Monroe. Donations to the building fund for this new addition are much needed; the society is still far short of its goal.
