On May 13 the Men’s group from the Amissville Baptist Church are going to Baltimore for an Orioles Game. I hope the O’s win. On May 16 the Senior Adult breakfast will be at Shoney’s in Manassas. The van will leave the church at 7:45. For more information call 9376159.
Relay for Life Cancer Walk is on May 19 and 20, if you haven’t already sponsored someone, please do so. There are several teams and lots of people walking. Every little bit helps. I am walking in memory of my grandparents who both died of cancer. Even a dollar makes a difference. Contact Ester Settle at 6356402 or Benny Atkins at 6352377.
Yard sale season is well under way, and the Consignment Shop up next to me is under new management. They have some really cute little wooden garden ornaments and wishing wells. Be careful of people stopping on the side of the road for the yard sales.
