Allison Russo

Hometown: Flint Hill Accomplishments: Allison Russo, a sixth grader, has earned first honors at Wakefield Country Day School for the two years she has attended. Allison has won awards at the school for her work in art, science and athletics. Last year she attended the Summer Institute for Gifted Students at Vassar College. Recently Allison won first place in the countywide Fodderstack 10K run in the 12 and under division. Other athletic interests include horseback riding, soccer and swimming. Allison is a member of the Old Rag Mountain Pony Club and helped at the recent Point-toPoint Races at Ben Venue selling programs and raffle tickets. Allison is a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Washington. She is currently helping with a mailing for the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company’s annual appeal. Other interests include reading, outdoor sports, music and current events. Headmaster Michael Vargo observed, “Allison is the kind of exemplary student who not only meets academic and athletic challenges, but also is involved in community service.” She is the daughter of Paul and Kathie of Flint Hill.
