AT ONE WITH GOD
We can derive great comfort from the thought that we are at one with God. This divine relationship frees us from the limitations imposed by our earthly existence, and enables us to explore the infinite. As Julian of Norwich has written, “Once in my imagination I was taken down to the bed of the sea and saw there green hills and dales that seemed to be clothed with moss, seaweed and stones. And I understood that if a person firmly believes that God is always with man, then even if he is thrown into the depths of the sea, he will always be preserved in body and soul and will enjoy greater solace and comfort than all this world can offer.” Peace is more available to our anxious hearts than we allow ourselves to know.
