New courses «
announced
Eighteen new RCHS course offerings were announced for 2000-2001, They include: Entrepreneurship, Culipary, Building Trades II, Graphic Arts & Web Page Design, Computer Assembly & Repair, Advanced Computer Information Systems, Chemistry II, Creative Writing, Drama, Humanities, Honors English, AP Statistics; AP Art, and off-campus Auto Mechanics and Cosmetology.
Other activities
• RCES teacher Deborah Flinchum and RCHS teacher Ron Vickers reported on a Leadership Ethics Conference they recently attended at Oxford University in England. Both were effusive in their praise for the conference and for the opportunity that Rappahannock County schools provide for teacher improvement, and both characterized the differences in approach to education in the US and England.
• PTEC recently donated some $22,000 worth of welding equipment, tools, and vehicles to Rappahannock schools.
