B&E Antiques in Flint Hill has been opened by Mr. and Mrs. William Ed Foster Jr. and the stock includes a good selection of furniture, crystal, china, other antiques and memorabilia.

f Preparation for the Flower Show accelerates as members of the Rappahannock Garden Club leave no stone unturned in making ready for the event scheduled for May 24 at the Amissville fire hall. In a photograph, Marta Tholand, Caroline Doub, Jane Herndon, Jo Frantz and Gladys Havstad were busy working out details for the show which is open to any amateur gardener.

The adjusted 1981-82 school budget leaves raises at 12.4 percent for the first time, and provides for partial payment of hospitalization premiums for all school employees.

May 16, 1991

Mrs. Betty Wood is looking forward to time she’s needed for 25 years. Soon, the time is all hers. She retires from Rappahannock County Public Schools in June. The home economics department won’t be the same without her. Mrs. Wood started teaching 30 years ago, when Rappahannock County High School was just two years old.
