Relay for Life. It is a relay without a finish line-until we find a cure for cancer. -
Final arrangements are now underway. The more than thirty teams are completing their fund raising and readying themselves for the Relay, entertainment and camping out. Ben Atkins and his committee are making sure that all last minute preparations are made.
Roger Welch, Logistics Director, and Liz Blubaugh, Activities Director, are making sure both the logistics and activities are ready for the event. Bev Atkins, the Picnic Chair, and Charlotte Nichols and Judy Tble, the Chairs for food for the Midnight Madness and Breakfast, are making sure that the food will be ready for the always-hungry Rappahannock crowd. Sherry Shaw and Georgia Gilpin, the Accounting and Banking Chairs, have begun to collect and account for the contributions in the fight against cancer. Thomas Leake, Night Watchman Chair, Larry Oliver, the Safety and Walk Set-Up Chair, and Sheriff Larry Sherertz, the Security Chair, are making sure that all is prepared to assure the safety of the participants at the event Tamara Settle, the Registration and Sales Chair, will be at the Registration Tent where American Cancer Society merchandise will also be available for sale. The Rappahannock Lions have their tent, ready to unpack.
