Public School System . • Congratulations to RCMS Seventh Grade student Caite Waites on being chosen for the “A” team of the Virginia U-13 Girls Soccer Olympic Development Program. What an accomplishment! And straight A’s on her report card as well!

• Many thanks to PTO parent volunteer Kaye Kohler and her team of energetic assistants for the wonderful Buttercup Ball on Saturday evening at the Old Washington School. The decorations were beautiful, the food tables were over-flowing with wonderful treats, Robert Glasker’s Blues Hawks Band was incredible, and all that attended left feeling very appreciated. This- kind of an event requires hours of planning and Organization. The beautiful fields of yellow butter" cups across our county last spring inspired Mrs. Kohler , to lobby for this special evening.

Among her team of volunteers were: Theresa Light, Elizabeth Johns, Justine Rosenbaum, Claudia Mitchell, Shannon Swain, Jimmy Swindler, Nanette Ijogan, Rick Kohler, Susan McCarthy, Peter and Elaine Kramer, and Ron Makela. Many thanks as well to all who donated the generous
