The annual Relay for Life Walk-A-Thon in support of the American Cancer Society in their fight against cancer will take place on Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19 at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. Everyone is encouraged to come and give support to this event.

On Saturday Mrs. Ann Simmons and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Clark attended the 50th wedding anniversary celebration of Lewis and Dorothy Carroll at the Old Powhatan Baptist Church in Powhatan. The event was hosted by their children Brenda, Denise and Douglas. Mrs. Carroll is the former Dorothy Howell and was raised in Washington.

Happy birthday to Mrs. Alice Butler, who has her day on Thursday, May 17.
