Several of these songs will be included in the upcoming concert, for example, the wistful “Bushes and briars” and the whimsical “The cuckoo,” along with O waly, waly” and “Early one morning,” both arranged by Benjamin Britten.
From Scotland the performances includes the beautiful lament “Ye banks and braes,” with words by the poet Robert Burns; and from Ireland the ever popular “Danny Boy”.
