• Many thdnks to Mr. Michael Leake, president of the Rappahannock National Bank, for his recent visit to Mrs. Kelly Estes’ Second Grade classroom. To reinforce the children’s Social Studies SOL objectives pertaining to finance, Mr. Leake talked to the children about banking and, of course, the money that makes banking happen.
The children especially enjoyed the piggy banks and coloring books that Mr. Leake brought for each student. It is always a pleasure to have volunteers from the community visit our schools to share their expertise with our students.
• Mrs. Janet Long and Mrs. Susan Fox, RCHS Faculty Sponsors have spent countless hours planning the May 25 Mayfest activities for RCHS students. This event is sure to be the appropriate climax to an exciting, change-filled year at the high school.
