Book Fair

to be held

at RCES

April 17-23

Parents can encourage their children’s love of reading. One way to do that is to attend the Scholastic Book Fair at Rappahannock County Elementary School on Wednesday, April 17 through Tuesday, April 23.

Scholastic Book Fairs bring the best books and educational learning products from more than 150 publishers to readers of all ages. The Book Fair is open to the entire community.

The Book Fair features traditional children’s favorites and new works by popular authors and illustrators. Parents and teachers will find plenty to interest them too. The fair is open each school day from 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be open on Thursday evening, April 18, until 8 p.m for your convenience.

The Book Fair also is an opportunity- to donate books to your child’s class. Teachers will submit “Wish Lists” of books that would enrich their classroom libraries. When you visit the Fair,,you can find out which books have been requested and purchase one or more to donate. Each donated book will be recognized with a bookplate identifying your child or family as the donor.

The Book Fair helps Rappahannock County Elementary School Library promote reading and learning while raising money for Library projects. For more information, call Aney Massie at 987-8259 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
