The Community Concert Association of this seven county area announces its spirit lifting 2002-03 series of six professional attractions set for the stage at nearby Culpeper County High School. The season opens with a Sunday matinee at 3 p.m. on Sept. 22 and features American’s premier folk ensemble, the Duquesne University Tamburitzans in dazzling music, songs and dance of Eastern Europe.
Robert Post’s Comedy Theatre comes on Saturday, Oct 5 at 8 p.m. with this comedian’s thousand disguises and truly original form of entertainment. It is hilarious for children, as well.
Slated for Saturday afternoon Nov. 16 is the virtual Tasmanian Angel, Concert Pianist, Roslyn Langlois, whose exciting program will include some Chopin as well as Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue”.
On Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003 is a golden chance to hear one of America’s virtuoso violinists, the renown Eugene Fodor, who has captivated audiences worldwide for more than three decades. Trained at St. Olaf College, one of the finest male vocal ensembles extant, called Cants, will be heard in songs of many styles on Wednesday, March 5, 2003.
