The 2002 Spring Food Sanitation Certification course has been scheduled.
The course and ServSafe Essentials textbook utilize the new 1999 Model Food Code from the Food and Drug Administration. This course will provide successful participants a certification from the National Restaurant Association that is widely recognized.
Virginia Cooperative Extension and the Virginia Department of Health are offering the 16 hour ServSafe Course and Food Protection Manager Certification exam. The course will be offered in Warrenton at the Fauquier Extension Office, 24 Pelham Street on April 15 and April 22 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The pre-registered cost is $95 per person. The textbook and exam is included in the fee. lb register, contact the Rappahannock Extension Office at 675-3619 before the registration deadline of noon on April 12
The course is designed to educate owners, managers and other food service personnel in proper food handling techniques and sanitation management.
