Carson Johnson and Doug Baumgardner attended Andrew Miller’s statewide kickoff held in Richmond last Saturday. The event, attended by over 1,000 people from across the state, marked the official kickoff of the organizational part of the Miller campaign.
Don Bomberger, President elect of Rappahannock County Education Association and Dick Helmer, VicePresident of District 8 of the Virginia Education Association were two of the 1500 educators that attended the annual Virginia Education Association Convention held in Charlottesville this past week.
The Rappahannock County School Board has adopted and forwarded to the County Board of Supervisors its public school budget for 1977-78. The regular school budget will require $1,205,310 or $89,755 above the current budget. The budget projects an increase of eight percent above funds budgeted for the current year. Over three percent of the increase is devoted to costs related to the fjtart of a delayed Kindergarten program.
